Understanding FedEx Shipping Label

A FedEx shipping label has all the required information which helps get your package from its origin to reach its destination. Your shipping solution provider should be able to provide technical details, or you may reach out to us for any queries.

The key elements you'll see on a regular FedEx shipping label are:

1. Sender's Information: This section includes the name, address, and contact details of the person or business which is sending the package.

   • Street Line(s)

   • City, Region/Province, Postal Code, (Country Code)

2. Recipient's Information: The name, address, and contact details of the person or business receiving the package are listed in this section of the label.

   • Phone Number

3. Tracking Number: This is a FedEx-generated unique number allowing you to track the package and its delivery status.
   
   

4. Service Type: Based on the origin, destination, speed of delivery selected and other criteria, there could be a valid FedEx service type selected for your package. This section of the label indicates the type of FedEx service being used, such as FedEx Ground, FedEx Express, etc.
   
   

5. Barcode: This is a scannable code which encompasses all the shipment details and helps in tracking and processing the package.
   
   

6. Package Information: The details about the package, including weight, dimensions, and any special services opted for, are listed here.

   • ACTWGT : Actual Weight recorded by your shipping software (may be in LB or KG).

   • The label may also display DRY ICE weight, if included during shipment creation (always printed in KG).

   • CAD is used to identify the specific shipment and associated invoice within FedEx's system.

   • WSXI indicates usage of FedEx Web Services.

7. Shipping Date: Indicates the date when the package was shipped.
